Hello, my name is Laura Marie Brown. I am a naturopathic doctor, teacher, student, mother, friend, wife, sister, daughter. And a unique divine spark of sound and light.

Constantly amazed at these marvelous machines we get to live in, I welcome you to join me on a journey of discovery. The human body is so savvy that millions of scientists and doctors over thousands of years have yet to fully master it.  I am continuously curious in how we are knit together. And I love sharing what I learn.

Even more, it thrills me to see others inspired by the wonderful, positive results they experience with the healthier choices they make. I am here to help you discover your own path to healthful living.

I choose to make healthful living easy. I find my way.  All I ever require is readily available. I claim my ability to feel energy, move energy, sense energy and transform energy.

The window through which I learn much in this world is digestion. Like a canary in the coal mine, I sense what food does to me. The foods I now choose inspire, nourish, calm, fuel and encourage me. As a seasoned energy sensitive being, through many trials and tribulations, I practice to recognize self from not self. To know what is mine and what is another's energy. I am in harmony with healthful boundaries.

We have the power to improve our digestion.

Digestion requires a healthy microbiome and gastrointestinal barrier. Our gut health matters. And sometimes it is more than a tummy ache. Of those with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) almost 40% experience anxiety and depression. Chronic inflammatory states are often rooted in the digestive tract. I've worked with hundreds of patients to help them improve digestion and their quality of life. I authored and published an Amazon bestselling book that talks about not only my journey, but that of my patients; Beyond Digestion, How GUT Health Connects to your Mind, Body, and Soul.

Rest

With every intense period of activity we need an equally restorative period of rest. Rest and sleep are very active states of being. When we are deeply relaxed we become more focused inside. I teach people how to listen to what their body has to say.  I help activate the purposeful state of rest so to permit the subconscious copilot to take the wheel. Sometimes all we need to know is, it is time, and we are allowed, to rest. Our body will lovingly take care of the rest.

Our body loves routine and there will be plenty to say about circadian rhythms when we get together. I say yes to being creative, meditation, prayer, journals, digestive rest (fasting) and time with family and friends. Sometimes rest means hanging out with my pets, like Dallas, my golden retriever. We go for hikes in the woods, play tug, tend to the gardens or just sit and hold paws and watch the world go by.
